THE NEW HARBOURSIDE

17 Oct 2022

Selected from a competition pool, Snøhetta + Hassell’s design for the new Sydney Darling Harbour is expected to start construction in 2023.

The new redesign of Harbourside in Sydney Darling Harbour is set to include a new 42 storey residential tower along with 13,500 square metres of public space. Featuring 350 luxury apartments, 7,000 square metres of new retail and 3,500 square metres for the new Guardian Square, Darling Harbour is soon to be an urban oasis that adds to its existing culture.

Property developer Mirvac, hopes for Harbourside to be 5 out of 6 Green Stars and earn WELL ratings, making it one of Australia’s most sustainable districts. With many of Sydney undergoing constructions for more greener spaces, sustainable alternatives and eco-friendly resources, the City of Sydney is on track to reach it’s goal of net zero emissions by 2035.

Harbourside will honour the first nations in the Gadigal and Wangal community through honorary traditions and respect to the natural landscape.

With opportunities for new residencies, new jobs and more green spaces in Sydney, Harbourside is a grand addition to Sydney’s landscape.
