Stake lengths range from 230mm for low profiles up to 1180mm for 590mm edging, ensuring secure fixing across applications. ShapeScaper’s Redor® weathering steel develops a natural protective patina over time, similar to corten steel. This process typically stabilises within 6–18 months, accelerated by regular cycles of exposure to wet and dry conditions. Early-stage leaching can occur during heavy water exposure and should be considered around light or porous surfaces. Where required, steel can be pre-weathered off-site prior to installation.

Redor® planters are suitable for vegetables and herbs with no liners or treatments needed. However, in high-moisture environments, a waterproof liner or internal coating can be a good option to further extend service life.

Lower profiles up to 185mm can be shaped by hand into tight curves on-site, while taller profiles up to 590mm accommodate gentle curves with planning. Custom fabrication is also available for precise, project-specific forms.
