03 Jun 2021

Want to work in the horticulture industry? Greenlife Industry Australia (GIA) makes it easy with a new careers hub.

Choosing a career can be a daunting process. It comes down to what you are passionate about and doing what you love (and GIA are passionate about plants!). But how do you find out about a career in horticulture?

GIA has developed as part of the levy funded project Developing Nursery Career pathways NY19006, a new greenlife careers hub for attracting people who are looking at a career in horticulture or a greenlife career change.

The Greenlife Careers Hub provides information for new comers, parents and guardians, careers advisors and greenlife career changers looking at horticulture as their career of choice including information on careers and learning pathways, career opportunities, professional development and job opportunities within horticulture.

The Greenlife Careers Hub includes videos about the horticultural industry and bringing your career to life : choose horticulture, detailed horticultural careers pathways diagram to outline the many job opportunities available within horticulture, career pathway case studies of industry professionals with varying roles who have taken different pathways in order to attain the positions they have today and provides insights into the various entry points taken to enter horticulture and a soon to be uploaded comprehensive Greenlife Industry Careers Guide.

Also included on the Greenlife Careers Hub is GIA’s Certified Nursery Professional (CNP) professional recognition program where members are individually recognised for their skills, knowledge and ongoing commitment to professional development highlighting other professional aspects to your potential career pathway.

The program showcases the expertise and dedication of the CNPs to a public and industry audience providing the public with the assurance that CNPs have the knowledge and skills to provide superior services, raising the image and the profile of CNPs, the businesses for which they work and the greenlife industry in Australia.

With greenlife there is a career pathway for everyone, visit GIA’s Careers hub for more information about careers in the greenlife industry.
