SMART PLAY

20 Aug 2020

Smart Play® structures from Parkequip pack a lot of activities into a compact space and spans several critical periods of childhood development, making it ideal for childcare, early learning centres, neighbourhood playgrounds and schools.

Smart Play Nook
The Nook

Smart Play structures take kids from early crawling exploration, up to active climbing and social play, to a challenging course for older children.

Landscape Structures has created a range of developmentally-appropriate activities for several of the Smart Play structures, including literacy prompts designed to engage children and adults in language-rich conversations.

The epitome of smart design, each Smart Play structure makes the most efficient use of materials to create a large number of activities. For example, cutouts from panels are used to create activity components found elsewhere on the play structure. Now that puts the smart back into play! The compact size of these structures requires less space and surfacing materials than typical playgrounds, resulting in a lower total investment. That means Smart Play play structures are ideal for tight spaces and tight budgets, too.

The Smart Play range starts off with the littlest users from six months to two years. The Nook is sized just right for little crawlers and early walkers, offering plenty of colourful activities to capture young one’s attentions. The intentional sightlines let parents keep an eye on them at all times. A balance rail along the white picket fence encourages early standing and walking. Smart Play, The Cube, the Motion The Motion

For the 2-5-year-olds, there are a range of options to encourage imagination play with the various designs of the Loft, Market Café and Fire Station. These can be purchased individually, combined as a duo or link all three structures to create The Centre.

The original Smart Play designs of The Cube and The Motion are also available for the 2-5-year age group. The Motion is an accessible play structure with 16 activities packed into its compact structure. The Cube has a curated collection of interactive play events that help build cognitive and motor skills specifically for toddlers and preschoolers.

For the big kids aged 5-12, the Smart Play Venti® packs 20 exciting activities into its compact size. Nets, slides, belts and climbers provide challenges that promote physical development and strategic thinking, while also creating hangouts where kids can take a break and connect with others.
