ROAD RECONSTRUCTION INNOVATION
13 Jan 2020
Do you have ideas to improve the roads of Australia? Three councils from SA are inviting the public to present innovative ideas for smarter and more sustainable roads and pavements. Apply now!
City of Mitchem in conjunction with City of Unley and Holdfast Bay Council has put out a call for Expressions of Interest for product manufacturers, researchers and civil construction firms to pitch their greenest and best value ideas.
The concept does not need to be costed in detail, but it does need to be something that has never been tried in the state before and can be rolled out across all future road projects, including both construction and reconstruction in the regions.
Solutions should tick several categories such as reduced virgin material use, reduced CO2, improved safety, improved works methodology, longer asset life, community benefit and better performance.
Applicants will also need to suggest the types of site within the LGAs that will be suitable for the initial pilot of their concept if the EOI is successful.
Applications close 5pm Adelaide time, 24 January 2020.
