Moduplay’s latest playspace is a bright and bold construction that offers a range of safe climbing and swinging delights to eager young park-goers of all ages and abilities.
The Ponds estate, a large-scale residential development from Landcom, is located in Blacktown, NSW. Dedicated to sustainable growth and community development, Landcom has included an extensive network of amazing recreation spaces within the estate.
Commissioned to create a beautiful play area within the burgeoning Ponds estate, Moduplay worked closely with Landscape Architect Taylor Brammar to achieve the right design for Lakes Edge Park. The result is a creative and compliant playspace of supersized climbing and swinging delights sitting comfortably in the heart of The Ponds.
Utilising components from their ‘Ropes’ range of equipment, the central feature of the Lakes Edge Park is an outer-frame rope climbing system that provides a unique combination of play experiences for all age groups. A tube slide was added to the highest platform of the frame to provide a swift slide down to the ground – so kids can climb all over again.
The park also includes a unique ‘Mammoth’ swing that arcs out like a pendulum for multi-directional swinging. The unique nest seat also offers a safe sitting area with no hand or foot entrapments, ensuring safe swinging at all times.
With plenty of seating for parents and caregivers, as well as shelters, shaded areas and other public amenities, the Lakes Edge Park is a hit with the local community, and an excellent example of Moduplay’s commitment to ensuring the right design for a specified area.
