LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT REVIEWS CAD

22 Feb 2018

In an interview with CAD International, Angela Maroney reveals her business secrets and why she chose LANDWorksCAD as her design software of choice.

Angela Maroney is a landscape architect, horticulturalist, arborist, and the CEO of Urban and Rural Design. Her 30 years’ experience in the business places her at the top of the experts list as a “go to” person for advice in all things landscape.

In an interview with CAD International, Angela Maroney reveals her business secrets and why she chose LANDWorksCAD as her design software of choice.

CAD: What makes your business unique and successful?

Angela: We listen to our clients and deliver. We do it all, consulting, design and construction, the entire package and have a holistic approach. We give clients what they want, it’s their space. Seems simple but so many miss it!

CAD: Why did you choose LANDWorksCAD as your design software?

Angela: I’ve been doing this for nearly 30 years, in that time, we’ve used other CAD programs but LANDWorksCAD is just more applicable to what we do – ‘made for the job.

One of the big reasons we chose LANDWorksCAD was the personal service. The time we’ve saved by having personal tech support is huge. We might have a timeline for a design, things go wrong, or we make a mistake – one phone call and its fixed, it’s absolutely brilliant.

Another huge plus for us is the Australian plant database, no other product has this, and it saves us so much time not having to import all our national plants as we used to do with American CAD products.

What makes LANDWorksCAD easier to use?

Angela: The software operates intuitively, it’s improved our efficiencies drastically. It isn’t building-driven, it was designed for landscaper architects and designers specifically rather than building architects.

CAD: What would you say to other similar businesses facing the same decisions as you?

Angela: Definitely have a trial, mad if they don’t, absolutely mad if they don’t. I mean really, I am one of LANDWorksCAD’s longest advocates. Once someone gets the personal service that comes along with a great product I don’t think you can go back.

Angela’s business is built on listening to clients and delivering their needs, backed by a holistic approach to projects. Angela’s company ethos coincides with that of LANDWorksCAD which makes the product so applicable and desirable to Angela and her team at Urban and Rural Design. Her decades of experience and reputation within the industry gives her high credibility for her recommendation of LANDWorksCAD.
