10 Feb 2022

By 2050 global urbanisation will increase to 66%, and the aging population will rise to 22%, according to the World Health Organisation. Furthermore, physical inactivity levels continue to be the leading cause of lifestyle diseases, with 25% of adults completing little to no physical activity.

To minimise the long-lasting impacts on todays and future generations, policymakers, planners, and designers must make changes and consider how they can activate and unite local communities. Globally, high-quality, functional, and, importantly, free outdoor fitness spaces are proving to be an effective strategy. These spaces improve mental and physical well-being, increase social connectedness, and reduce socioeconomic inequalities and the impacts of healthcare costs for economies.

With the right equipment and expertise, it is possible to create solutions for communities that encourage Australians of all ages and abilities to enjoy the benefits of being active in the great outdoors. kompan

When working with KOMPAN, you can create outdoor fitness spaces that are on par with indoor gym facilities. In particular, KOMPAN’s new outdoor strength equipment is a total game-changer for outdoor fitness and offers the same biomechanics and resistance mechanisms as indoor selectorised strength machines. kompan

This new range has been a been important innovation project for KOMPAN and adds an exciting new element to their award-winning fitness equipment portfolio.

  • Improved physical capacity, mental health and quality of life
  • Improved brain health and protection against age-related cognitive decline
  • Better maintenance of healthy weight and blood sugar levels
  • Reduction of injuries, falls, and musculoskeletal disorders
  • Increased independence and reduced cost of care
  • Ability to workout alone or within a social group setting
