COPPER CLAD PLANTER BOXES
06 Aug 2012
Designed by H2O, these copper clad planter boxes meet the vigorous demands of one of Melbourne’s iconic spaces.
Manufactured for Arinjiti Restaurant in Federation Square, these stunning LICOM76 copper clad planter boxes were designed in conjunction with SJB Interiors. H2O Designs was approached to design a series of interlocking planter boxes with a decorative copper surface that met the vigorous demands of one of Melbourne’s iconic spaces.
Creating a decorative boundary to Arinjiti Restaurant, various sized planters at 2000mm(L) or 1340mm(L) x 450mm (W) x 450mm (H) were installed and fitted with internal stanchions and locking plates, to ensure they were securely locked together, eliminating any movement which was imperative for their public space location.
Finishing touches to the planter box system include fabrication of the custom built kickers, suited to the site slopes and levels, as well as the Arinjiti logo which was incorporated into the most prevalent planter box, backlit through an internal light-box built into the planter box wall.
The combination of tiered planter boxes, copper material and luscious planting ensures the Arinjiti Restaurant stands out as a beautiful addition to Federation Square area.
