Concrete masonry is an essential component of the building industry, is environmentally friendly, durable and affordable. Founded in 1967, the Concrete Masonry Association of Australia exists to help improve the masonry industry, enhance concrete masonry products like retaining walls, concrete pavers and block walling, and provide information to professionals, organizations and individuals concerning masonry products and the overall industry.
The Concrete Masonry Association of Australia is a national nonprofit organization with offices in all states and territories. The association offers membership to almost anyone involved with the concrete masonry industry, from manufacturers to contractors, consultants to design professionals, educational institutions, government agencies, dealers and distributors and suppliers. In addition, the association is also instrumental in creating standards and regulations for the concrete masonry industry.
The Concrete Masonry Association of Australia provides a wide range of resources to members, as well as to nonmembers. There are significant technical resources available, including publications and market information for the masonry concrete industry. In addition, the association offers software, research projects and conferences for members to further their training and education.
Members are able to make use of unique promotional resources provided by the CMAA, as well. For example, members are able to attend networking seminars, technical workshops and even international conferences. Voting members (general and sponsoring memberships) are provided with any leads or sales generated through conferences and workshops (nonvoting members are not). Visual aids, press releases and other promotional materials are also made available to members of the association.
Perhaps the most significant advantage offered by membership in the Concrete Masonry Association of Australia is the ability to network. Business and social networking is capable of helping to create unique, dynamic partnerships between related professionals and organizations, helping both sides of the relationship foster a more profitable, successful operation.
