To make the most of any gabion structure, you need the right stone. Mawsons supplies galvanised gabions and an extensive range of 150mm feature rock and 60/100mm river pebbles to fill them.

Rock-filled gabions are quickly becoming a must-have in residential gardens and commercial projects. They are being used to build retaining and garden walls, and are also being incorporated into a myriad of design elements ranging from seating and water features to planters and fire pits. Often, gabions are teamed with garden beds mulched with pebbles or gravel-topped paths, ensuring a coordinated look and giving the landscape an appealing natural feel.

A company with an enviable reputation as a specialist supplier of feature rock and river pebbles, Mawsons has branched into the gabion market, providing 60/100mm pebble and 150mm spall feature stone for use inside gabions. Mawsons also supply the metal gabions in a range of sizes: 300mm x 300mm x 1000mm and 500mm x 500mm x 1000mm.

Mawsons owns a variety of quarries from which they source their feature rock, gabion stone and pebbles. This enables the company to produce a wide range of products and ensures consistency of supply and quality.

The pebbles, which range  in size from 7mm to 100mm plus and come in a plethora of colors, are a great  addition to a drought-tolerant garden and can be used  in many decorative ways, such as the creation of a dry creek  bed or as mulch on a garden bed or in a planter. Mawsons also supplies its own range of pathway toppings, which are another practical and attractive addition to a water-wise garden.

Mawsons operates six garden centers in northern Victoria and southern New South Wales, and supplies river pebbles to numerous retail outlets throughout Melbourne and regional Victoria. In addition, the company owns more than 30 concrete plants, producing specialised exposed aggregate and polished concrete mixes.

As a business of more than 100 years’ standing and the owner of multiple hard rock quarries, premixed concrete plants, and landscape centers, Mawsons has the expertise and resources to cater for all your hard landscaping needs.
