The Queensland Arboricultural Association (QAA) celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2012. The Association represents the tree management industry in Queensland and Northern NSW, and with 350 individual members (and climbing), it is constantly striving to increase public awareness of the benefits of trees and to improve tree care and workplace health and safety through implementation of ‘Best Practice’ methodologies.

QAA Arborists Register

To enable the general public and local and state government to locate a qualified arborist, the QAA recently launched the Register of Qualified Arboricultural Contractors and Consultants which can be viewed at: http://www.qaa.net.au/arborists.php

Trees and Development - The Roots to Best Practice

Thursday, February 9, 9am - 4pm

The upcoming seminar is tailored to deliver an up-to-date, practical and effective understanding of the role that trees play in the development process. Core to proceedings are the implications and applications to all development related professionals of the Australian Standard, AS 4970. Contents have been developed to meet the needs of architects, developers, landscape architects and planners.
