The Queensland landscape industry celebrated the best of the best in landscape construction at this year’s Awards Presentation which was held Saturday 13th November. The online livestream event was hosted by 97.3fm breakfast host Terry Hansen in a departure from the usual annual Gala Dinner.

Entrants gathered with their teams with many taking the opportunity to have themed parties as they watched the awards presentations. Live crosses to the winners and party goers throughout the evening enabled the industry to come together and celebrate their achievements.

Best Landscape Feature Commercial Winner - Wearthy - The Nest Early Education Centre of Excellence, Southport

The Awards program showcased an amazing range of residential and commercial projects from throughout the state culminating in the announcement of the QLD Landscape Construction of the Year for both the Residential and Commercial segments of the industry.

Landscape Rehabilitation Award Winner - Evolve Environmental Solutions - Scenic Amenity Highway Acoustic Buffer, Sippy Downs

Earth Creation Landscapes won the Queensland Residential Landscape Construction of the Year for their Sunshine Beach project and CBD Landscape Construction were successful in winning the Queensland Commercial Landscape Construction of the year for Surgical Treatment and Rehabilitation Service Building (STARS) & Spanish Steps, Herston.

Commercial 3 Winner - Ausplay Playscapes - Sippy Downs Early Learning Centre

Landscape Queensland CEO, Mark Sorby, said that 2021 had been an extremely busy year for the landscape industry across Queensland. With consumers pouring money into home renovation, the backyard space had become a priority for many as they create their own private havens to share with family and friends. To this backdrop, this year’s industry awards program again showcased the high-level skills and professionalism of Landscape Queensland members. Mark went on to say that landscapers are undertaking an exciting and diverse range of projects which were reflected in some of this year’s awards entries submitted from throughout the state.
