Industry Association: Turf Queensland
Association Profile
The Queensland Turf Producers Association Inc (QTPA), now trading as Turf Queensland since 2009, is the peak professional body for Turf Producers in the state of Queensland. Having commenced in 2001 the Association has a full-time Industry Development Officer, CEO and Secretariat. Turf Queensland has its own government-backed turf industry apprenticeship and diploma programes. The environmental landscape has grown in importance and Turf Queensland has developed its own programs for accreditation assessments and improvements across the state as a responsible industry.
Mission Statement
Turf Queensland (QTPA) will achieve recognised peak body status in the turf industry in Queensland by:
1. Being innovative
2. Having a well trained and accredited industry
3. Provide leadership in Turf environmental innovation
4. Developing acceptable usable standards
5. Providing leadership and direction
6. Developing industry benchmarks
7. Promoting growth and sustainability
8. Developing relationships with all stakeholders
Accreditation and Professional Development
Turf Queensland continues to lead the way in driving professional best practice outcomes through our ‘Turf Accreditation Process’ (TAP). TAP provides an independent third-party assessed program that creates leadership and innovative differentiation as well as a valuable competitive advantage to those who have completed the program. Members successfully achieving Accreditation are then able to promote the achievement via the TAP logo.
Member Benefits
Members are able to access various benefits including state and national services. By joining the state association, members are automatically a member of the national association and can access and obtain information and assistance from both organisations. Membership is separate to levy payment.
