Expressions of interest are also invited from councils/organisations to host this Course.
These courses are Accredited with nationally recognised TAFE Academic Credits and endorsed by PLA. They are the most comprehensive training on playground Standards, design, hazard identification, risk management and assessment methods offered in Australia. Pre-reading and 15 hours of training from a national playground safety expert, Lynnel Migas, and Accredited Trainer will prepare participants for the assessment. These courses are intended to provide training for individuals interested in becoming competent in playground design, selection, installation, inspection, maintenance, record keeping and the management of play environments. PlayRight has trained over 800 park and playgrounds professionals nationally.
Participants will achieve competency and TAFE credits in the following modules:
Horticultural
• RTC2203 Conduct visual inspection of park facilities
• RTC3201 Conduct operational inspection of park facilities
• RTC5201 Conduct comprehensive inspection of park facilities
Business and Management
• BSBEBUS301 Search and assess online business information
Occupational Health and Safety
• BSBOH303 Contribute to OSH hazard identification and risk assessment
