Pedestrian Footbridges

Stanthorpe residents sighed a collective sigh of relief late last year when the Robinson Bridges semitrailer rolled into town bearing two prefabricated bridges. Nearly 12 months after closing the old Carnarvon footbridge in Stanthorpe, the Department of Main Roads commissioned two new pedestrian bridges over Quart Pot Creek.

The previous footbridge was closed because of safety concerns and for a year residents had to cope with the closure of one lane on the Carnarvon vehicle bridge.

Robinson Bridges can deliver and install multiple spans and widths of pedestrian and cyclist footbridges with Engineer Certification to your site, or your crews can install. Every Element meets AS 5100 Bridge Design Code with clever patented Collapsible Hinged Handrails. Easy install means less erosion. You can move bridge modules to other sites with little disturbance to banks. The module includes the cost of foundation design.

No longer does every crossing need individual design. You can buy one or more “off the shelf” . Drop-down sides that facilitate heavy vehicles crossing is a plus. The bridges are loaded to 20Kn ( 2 tonnes)

Each bridge is low-maintenance hot-dip galvanised steel with a F27 Hardwood Deck, non-CCA treated timber from sustainable forests.
