NGINA new president

The new President of the Nursery and Garden Industry NSW & ACT( NGINA) will be Jeff Cooke, Ramm Botanicals.
Michael Mehigan from Elegant Outdoors is retiring as President (2008-2010) and will now continue his contribution as a Director. NGINA CEO Mike Skegg commended Michael’s excellent leadership during his Presidential term and said that NGINA were looking forward to his continuing input.
Jeff Cooke commented, “It will be an honour to serve as President of the Association working with a board full of experience and diverse skills. I will be endeavouring to increase membership and add more value to the membership.”
Sonja Cameron from Cameron’s Nursery is also retiring from the NGINA board after six years as Director and President (2006-2008).
“Sonja’s contribution to our association’s activities has been outstanding, in particular during the
extended difficult period of water restrictions,” said Mike Skegg.
Jeff Cooke commented, “It will be an honour to serve as President of the Association and to work with a board full of experience and diverse skills. I will be endeavouring to increase membership and add more value to the membership.”
In addition Matt de Ville from Oasis is also standing down from the board. Mike Skegg commended Matt for his excellent contribution as a Director to NGINA marketing activity, special interest groups, regional groups and to GES. And Dyllon McPhee from Advantage Plant Production is also standing down as Director with special responsibilities for the Environment Committee and GES. He was commended for his excellent contribution in this role, plus his input to regional activities is much appreciated.
