Concrete Tactile Pavers
1 May 2010
Concrete tactile pavers manufactured by Stone Directions are being seen everywhere along Australia’s east coast from Melbourne to Sydney to North Queensland.
Stone Directions’ concrete tactile pavers are being used in prestigious locations all up Australia’s east coast. The significant redevelopment of Sydney’s Royal Randwick Racecourse was designed by BVN Architecture (formerly Bligh Voller Nield). The project has utilised large quantities of Stone Directions’ Tactile Pavers in the Ivory colour. And new building works at Bond University on the Gold Coast incorporated Stone Directions’ Cautional Tactile Pavers in both Pearl Grey and Ivory colours.
Our 300 x 300 x 40 tactile pavers are manufactured to meet the requirements of AS/NZS 1428.4:2002 – Design for Access and Mobility – Tactile Indicators. The slip resistance of the raised portions on both Cautional and directional styles has been independently tested in accordance with AS/NZS 4456, as being in the highest category of slip resistance, Class ’V’.
Stone Directions’ concrete tactile pavers are available in five standard colours – Sungold; Gunmetal; Brick Red; Ivory; and Pearl Grey. They can also be manufactured in any of Stone Directions’ other standard paver colours if design requirements dictate.
