Lighting upgrade raises the bar at the State Equestrian Centre.

Integrated Power has delivered a major lighting upgrade at the State Equestrian Centre in Brigadoon, WA — elevating safety, visibility, and smart functionality for one of the state’s premier riding venues.

Tasked with a full-site lighting design and supply scope, Integrated Power engineered a solution that meets the demanding lux and uniformity standards of AS2560 for equestrian competition. Two arenas were illuminated as part of the project: one to low-level competition standard for jumping, and one for non-jumping events.

To achieve the precise light levels required, the design utilised high-output Optic Pro Sport floodlights in 1200W and 1800W configurations. With specialised asymmetric optics, the fittings deliver exceptional uniformity — critical for eliminating dark spots and reducing the risk of startling horses mid-ride.

Smart wireless control via Casambi was also integrated, allowing staff to manage lighting zones, dimming, schedules and preset scenes directly from their phones. The system ensures maximum flexibility for different users and event types, without the need for additional wiring or infrastructure changes.

Installed by Boyan Electrical, the end result is a safe, high-performing facility with future-proof smart controls — lighting the way for equestrian sport in WA.
