SOUTH JERRABOMBERRA TOWN PARK

South Jerrabomberra is a master planned community built in the suburb of Tralee, an historic property that played a central role in the region for generations.

Originally established in the mid-1800s, Tralee was owned by the Morrison family and operated as a productive farm known for its merino sheep, cattle, horses and seasonal crops. The property was also a vibrant social hub, with its large woolshed hosting local gatherings and welcoming visitors during the shearing season each October.

In the 1970s, Tralee opened its gates even wider, offering immersive farm experiences through Sundowner Tours, sharing a taste of country life with school groups, international travellers and curious locals alike.

Today, that same spirit of community and connection lives on in South Jerrabomberra. Proudly developed by The Village Building Co., this estate is the result of over 16 years of vision, dedication and planning, with construction approved in 2018. What began as a pastoral holding is now evolving into one of the region’s most exciting destinations.

With over 1,500 homes planned for more than 4,000 residents, the community features 23 hectares of green spaces and public amenity, including the town park of which Parkequip was a proud contributor.

The park is due to open on 15 November and showcases items from Parkequip's Landscape Structures Inc brand, highlighting the ability to link these pieces together with the use of colour.

The playground begins with an accessible carousel and fun inclusive pieces with a TopsyTurny Spinner and Oodle Swing. Parkequip's new Forma range makes an appearance with the Fox Den Hangout which offers kids a place to escape the hustle and bustle of the busy playground. Belting cutouts, open sides and angled positions allow for either solo time or interaction with others. The gentle rocking motion is comforting, and the variety of materials provides visual and tactile interest.

The spectacular Super Netplex Towers are the park's central feature, with multiple free standing elements surrounding the towers. The design boasts numerous accessible and inclusive pieces making it a truly engaging experience for children of all ages and abilities. The two stunning towers linked with a belted bridge with perforated holes for easy viewing.  The centre spiral belting with grippy texture provides an easy way for everyone to climb to the top for a whoosh ride down two slides. Clear sightlines enable kids to enjoy the view from the top while caregivers monitor the activity from the ground.  Lots of unique activities equals lots of fun!!

Sitting next to the Super Netplex Towers is a natural play space incorporating GFRC products that are custom designed to recreate the look of timber without the headache of the items rotting or splitting over time.  There is also a Smart Play Nook making sure the tiny tots are looked after.
