PORT DOUGLAS SPLASH PARK

Port Douglas Splash Park was envisioned as an opportunity to create a vibrant new attraction for the community and visitors. Developed by Douglas Shire Council with support from the Queensland Government, the $4.75 million project was shaped by local input and designed in collaboration with Urbis, JMAC Constructions and Aquatic Constructions. The result is an engaging, low-maintenance community hub that’s safe and inclusive for children and families to connect, play, and cool off in the tropics.

GX Outdoors supplied a cohesive suite of products that deliver durability, functionality, comfort, and longevity. Designed for coastal performance and aesthetic cohesion, the installation included Riverside Cantilever Shelters, Hyve Table Settings and Park Seats featuring TimberImage™ slats, Integra Ex Bin Enclosures and Frontier BBQs. Incorporating semi-custom laser-cut designs, the furniture ties seamlessly into the tropical surroundings, adding a creative layer that reflects the park’s natural identity and enhances sense of place.
