PELICAN WATERS BRIDGE FEATURES

Street+Garden were engaged by Anembo Consultants to design custom entry features to bookend the bridge crossings that lead to Pelican Waters and light blades to light up the pedestrian bridge crossing linking the bike paths along each side of the waterways.

CONSIDERATIONS

Featuring a custom rising bubble pattern laser cut into bold keel-like structures and rudder-shaped light blades to reflect the access to waterways, the Pelican Waters Marina and the ocean beyond.

OPPORTUNITIES

The blank canvas of the white structures provided the opportunity to collaborate with Rixon Design and utilise RGBW lighting to create unique but subtle lighting features that come to life as the sun sets and fade away with the dawn. The light blades also do double duty featuring AS/NZS1158-compliant street lighting by working closely with Robin Russell to certify the frames.
