A stunning new lighting installation at the iconic Fremantle Arts Centre is casting this heritage-listed landmark in a whole new light, literally.

Located in Western Australia, the historic Fremantle Arts Centre has long showcased art within its walls, but now, it has become a work of art itself. The installation of a powerful yet highly flexible RGB lighting system highlights the building’s architecture while offering programmable, event-driven flexibility.

The system was designed and supplied by Integrated Power and installed by the WA Electric Company. It features over 20 RGB luminaires controlled wirelessly via Casambi, a cutting-edge smart control platform. The wireless setup ensured a non-invasive installation that preserved the integrity of the heritage-listed site, while also reducing project costs.

The lighting system offers staff a flexible mix of automated light sequences and manual control options, enabling quick adjustments for special events and community celebrations. From commemorative colour schemes to ambient evening displays, the result is both functional and visually striking.

Working in close collaboration with the city of Fremantle, Integrated Power delivered a solution that marries modern technology with architectural sensitivity, ensuring this beloved building can shine well into the future.
