Colour and community shine at Welwyn Avenue with tree uplighting installation.

The City of South Perth recently engaged Integrated Power to deliver a dynamic lighting solution for the Welwyn Avenue village shopping precinct — a charming local hub known for its boutique shops, cafés, and strong community spirit.

The brief was to illuminate the iconic gum trees that line the precinct, transforming them into visual landmarks and drawing attention to the area's natural beauty. The lighting also needed the flexibility to shift colours for key celebrations and commemorative events throughout the year.

Integrated Power delivered a tailored solution using its Premier Series 150W RGB floodlights, paired with Casambi wireless control technology. This powerful yet cost-effective system allows city staff to easily manage lighting colours, schedules, and effects via a mobile app — without the complexity or ongoing subscription fees typical of many legacy lighting control systems.

The choice of RGB fixtures enabled vibrant colour displays, while the Casambi platform provided intuitive programming capabilities for events and seasonal activations. Whether marking national holidays or simply adding atmosphere to an evening stroll, the lighting delivers both function and beauty.

Installation was carried out by PEAP Electrical Contractors, who worked closely with Integrated Power to ensure a smooth, professional delivery.

The result is a visually stunning streetscape that celebrates local flora and enhances the village charm of Welwyn Avenue — a project that brings together community, culture, and colour in one elegant solution.
