CombiTile Pty Ltd is an Australian company that designs and manufactures innovative safety surfacing systems, purpose-built to meet Critical Fall Height (CFH) and Head Injury Criteria (HIC) standards. CombiTile products are engineered to reduce the risk of injuries across playgrounds, splash pads, aquatic areas and sports surfaces.

 

PRODUCTS AND SERVICES

The product range includes the CombiFlex® and CombiLock® systems, versatile solutions suitable for both dry installations

(under synthetic grass or EPDM) and wet environments like waterparks and aquatic facilities.

 

CombiFlex® delivers fall protection from significant heights, supports power distribution for interactive features and enables under-surface airflow. Lightweight and repositionable, CombiFlex® can be installed without adhesives, offering a safer, cleaner and more environmentally friendly solution for children, installers and communities.

 

CombiLock® is a cost-effective, adhesive-free alternative for splash pad surfacing. Its unique interlocking design provides excellent slip resistance (certified under ASNZ4586:2013), outstanding drainage and sustainable water savings of up to 30–40%. CombiLock® is already in use across 40+ installations in the USA, distributed via its trusted partner Aquaseal LLC.

Consistent surface levels are assured with a standard installation method. There’s no leaching of VOCs and the system remains uncompressed over time, ensuring no degradation in fall height rating. It can be used in playgrounds, roof tops and is excellent for pet areas given its air circulation and drainage properties.

Features easy installation, attenuation and drainage in one, is lightweight, stackable and inexpensive to transport. CFH up to 2.5m CFH ASNZ4422:2016 ; 1/12 of SBR weight for equivalent CFH. 

CombiLock

The unique interlocking design can serve an array of commercial applications including aquatic facilities where critical fall height, non-slip, drainage and water conservation in open areas is required.

Features slip resistance under ASNZ4586:2013, certified critical fall height, cost-effective life cycle, recyclable, aesthetic, minimum five year life span, minimal fade, chlorine resistant, mould and fungus resistant, saves water and requires minimal adhesives.
