Renmark City council in South Australia had an idea to brand the bins with their own artwork of the Murray Cod – an iconic fish in the area. Renmark’s riverfront is a tourist hotspot, especially for families, so the goal was to make the bins look more interesting.

Terrain helped the council in the early stages supplying the artwork files to the CAD designer so it could be transferred onto the bin enclosure. The 120L Brisbane Bin was selected to create the enclosures – custom designed with a powder coat black body and white backing panel.

Designed for use in large public spaces, this product is manufactured from maintenance-free durable 20um anodised aluminium and is available in a clear or colour anodised finish.

Paul Day from Renmark’s Paringa Council was closely involved in the entire process – from design to installation. Terrain created an electronic visual of the artwork, which was sent to Paul to show to the team and provide feedback. Once approved, the manufacturing process began. The bins were a hit, with Terrain later receiving feedback saying, “They look great.”

The Renmark City Council loved the flexibility of including their own artwork onto their new bin enclosures, which made them look more interactive and engaging.
