NAGLE COLLEGE

Along with the help from the Presentation Sister, the college was named after their founder, Nano Nagle, opening its doors in 1965 under the leadership of Mary Alphonsus Thearle. When it first opened, the school was made up of two classes, year 7 and 9 and one class of year 10 students. As the enrolment numbers continued to rise, there was the consistent need to clear surrounding bushland, to expand, so they could cope with the healthy growth within the area. To assist with the growing number of students, the school added the necessary buildings and enlarged recreational areas. In 1993 the sisters withdrew from the college and the first principal was employed. Following this change in leadership, a major rebuilding program began which would benefit not only the current students, but those yet to come.

Now, Nagle College is a modern, fully equipped secondary school for girls, with their strength lying in serving their multicultural community. Set in tranquil grounds, the college is able to provide ample space and nature for the girls to thrive in and enjoy. The modern facilities and classroom equipment allows for the ease in teaching and offering co-curricular activities such as debating, public speaking, sports and athletics, drama productions, photography, art club, and science and engineering. All the students at Nagle College are highly encouraged to find their passions and to develop them, assisted by the qualified staffing panel at the school.

What the client said

“The new benches look great - they really finish off the courtyard nicely. The art classes have been using the Paris Platform Benches for outdoor learning and love them. We are very happy and will be looking at getting more in the future!”
