JACK EVANS BOAT HARBOUR

In a concerted effort to enhance public access to water-based recreation and swimming, the Tweed Shire Council embarked on an ambitious project to revitalise the Jack Evans Boat Harbour at Tweed Heads. With a $748,000 grant from the NSW Government's Places to Swim program, the council sought to transform the area into a vibrant, inclusive space that would serve as a recreational hub for the community. GX Outdoors played a pivotal role in this transformation by supplying a complete park solution, including table settings, park seating, shelters and barbecues.

The product finishes were carefully chosen to reflect the coastal surroundings of the area. Blue hues were selected to harmonise with the natural beauty of the harbour, creating a seamless blend between the built environment and the surrounding landscape.

Over the past 12 months, the regional precinct saw a significant revitalisation, which included the installation of new inclusive playspaces, barbecues, picnic facilities and seating areas. The GX Outdoors solution was integral to this redevelopment, providing durable, aesthetically pleasing and functional outdoor furniture and structures that catered to the needs of both residents and visitors. It was crucial the furniture and shade structures would withstand the waterside environment.

The Jack Evans Boat Harbour project demonstrated the commitment from GX Outdoors to providing high-quality, sustainable outdoor solutions that align with the specific needs of local communities.
