GREENPOINT CHRISTIAN COLLEGE

The college was first established in 1982 with an enrolment of only 17 students, from Kindergarten to Year 6 with only one teacher. It was seen that enrolment numbers increased and by 2004 it had reached over 1,000 students from Kindergarten to Year 12. As the school had seen growth, the original name changed in 1995 from, Green Point Baptist Christian Community School to its current name with a refresh of their uniform and school colours. The founding teacher in charge was Michael Carman, with the college seeing 11 different principals preceding with current Phillip Nash.

The first buildings for the school were provided by Green Point Baptist Church and the permanent education facilities were first constructed on the current site in 1989. Through the years, there have been many new facilities in construction in alignment with the growing needs of the college. The school offers a range of co-curricular activities including choir, band, public speaking/debating, coding, robotics, Duke of Edinburgh Award and cultural field trips. The facilities include modern multi-purpose centres, food preparations facilities, sporting oval and a musical building. To ensure the school keeps up with the growing capacity of the school and all the students needs, it is important that the school offers functional and inclusive learning facilities and furniture items.
