WOODRIDGE STATE HIGH SCHOOL
The newly installed playground at Woodridge State High School in Brisbane, QLD, is a fantastic addition that truly caters to the needs of high school students. This vibrant new play space is designed not only to provide a fun environment but also to encourage physical activity and social interaction during breaks.
As students navigate their busy schedules filled with classes and studying, having a dedicated area for recreation is essential. The playground features a variety of equipment that promotes movement and teamwork, such as climbing structures, swings, and open spaces for group games.
DESIGNED FOR OLDER STUDENTS
The school engaged adventure+ to design a play space that would cater to students in Years 7 and 8 and that was different from the kind of play spaces the children would have seen at primary school. The team collaborated with Woodridge State High School to design a playground that would challenge students and provide them with a place to burn energy during class breaks. They carefully selected play elements such as rope climbing structures, warped wall, climbing cubes and rock climbing walls to promote active play and help develop upper body strength.
This play space is the ideal experience for students seeking a challenge and an opportunity to showcase their balance and climbing skills.
