THE EPHEMERALIST BY POPP

POPP’s new outdoor ping pong table offers communities a unique way to interact and enjoy open spaces.
Public Outdoor Ping Pong continues to lead the way in placemaking through ping pong. With over 100 permanent tables installed across Australia, coupled with the community-owning and self-coined ‘recreart’ concept, the local company has now launched a new outdoor table.
Titled 'The Ephemeralist', it is inspired by Buckminster Fuller and the inimitable strength of the space frame. Steel, weatherproof and sculptural, the table is as much at home with public art and architecture, as it is with battle-hardened ping pong players.
Through the new table, POPP extends its reach into placemaking through fixtures and experience. Offering both a visual attribute to communities, and an informal means of fun, friendly and healthy recreation, communities are reaping the benefits of a new way to interact and enjoy open spaces.
