At Waverley Park in Victoria children can journey into galaxies unknown, take off in a fantastic flying machine or battle intergalactic aliens on the frame net.
At Waverley Park in Victoria children can journey into galaxies unknown, take off in a fantastic flying machine or battle intergalactic aliens on the frame net - the playground design is all about stimulating the imagination.
For the upgrade of Waverley Park in Victoria, Proludic designed an outer space themed playground - a play theme that is popular with children.
Proludic offers a great variety of themed play items and the following equipment is provided at Waverley Park:
Tema Metropolis is a multi-play structure inspired by science-fiction. The reflective copper coloured play panels reinforce the futuristic look of the equipment. Many manipulative features encourage young children to explore sensory play and to develop the concepts of logic and consequences. The portholes, propeller, steering wheels, cogs, counting balls and curved window panel help to stimulate the imagination of children who are ready for take-off in a fantastic flying machine from the world of Jules Verne and his incredible inventions!
A Dynamo Meteor Net with customised stainless steel slide towers above the playground and provides older children with challenging climbing opportunities. The Meteor Net is the ideal place to exercise balance and coordination while battling intergalactic aliens before escaping down the slide. It allows children to explore their physical capabilities in a fun and engaging way. The grey and yellow colours of the Meteor Net complement the Tema Metropolis unit and the outer space theme.
A customised Grafic Games Astronaut play panel, the Spacebike Springer, and Round Trampolines that give children the feeling of “walking on the moon” reinforce the outer space theme. The Tubophones have been placed on a rock-shaped rubber mound. Children can climb up onto the mound and have the sense of being in space whilst communicating through the Tubophone with their friends down below. A rotating Speed Gyro and Swings have also been provided for exciting moving play experiences.
The outer space themed playground was achievable thanks to Proludic’s extensive variety of themed play equipment and the imagination of Proludic’s playground designers. To view more photos about the project please click here.
