This year’s Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers exhibition was made that much brighter with a ‘pop up’ playground completed by Jungle Play that featured an array of ‘nature play’ installations.
Jungle Play's ‘pop up’ playground featured at this year’s Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers was a rousing success with pint-sized visitors. The playground, which formed the Kids Space at the Flower, Food and Wine Festival held at the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers, was donated by Jungle Play and featured their stunning botanical play equipment.
A town staple since its inception 1949, The Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers is now recognised as one of Australia’s best annual events. Known as the ‘Garden City’, Toowoomba has been hosting the festival for decades to promote the beauty of the area.
Incorporated into the festival are three mouth-watering days of food and wine tasting. The Ergon Energy Flower, Food & Wine Festival is an opportunity to sample the incredible flavours, produce and wine from the bountiful regions of Southern Queensland. It was here you could find Kids Space; a decked out play area compliments of Jungle Play.
Renowned for their spectacular and imaginative sculptural play equipment, Jungle Play specialises in the design and fabrication of custom play equipment made from fibreglass, for strength, and completed in two-pack urethane, which produces a fade resistant, brightly coloured finish. With a range of nature play items that includes dinosaurs, butterflies, and giant mushrooms, Jungle Play fosters imaginative and inclusive play in an inspirational environment that encourages children to explore unstructured play.
Mindful of the ‘natural’ nature of the Toowoomba festival, Jungle Play installed a number of items from their botanical collection. The ‘pop up’ playground included their Gumleaf Play Pod, Ladybird Seat, Caterpillar Climber, Gumnut chairs (adult and child sizes), Snail Seat, Tomatoes, Watermelons, Pumpkins, Gum Blossoms, Hollow Log and more.
The happy cries of well-occupied children throughout the fair were a testament to the hours of enjoyment offered by Jungle Play’s imaginative collection of quality play equipment.
