A SIGN OF THE TIMES
1 April 2015
Envire’s patented recycled plastic is rapidly replacing wooden outdoor signage with an engineered composite material of far greater durability and practicality.
The Envire process combines a wide variety of polyethylene and polystyrene plastic waste from agricultural, industrial, transport, retail and consumer sources with long strand organic fibres to produce its unique composite material.
Years of testing have proved that this patented Envire technology creates a totally unique composite material that works like wood but without the disadvantages of wood.
Outdoor signage made from Envire material is extremely hardy. Unlike wood, Envire will flex and absorb impacts, quickly rebounding. It breaks clean while wood shatters creating dangerous spikes.
Like wood, it can be routed, drilled, screwed and sawn and its surface is smooth to touch, but unlike wood, there are never any splinters.
Envire products will not leach chemicals into the soil like CCA treated timber.
It is unaffected by extreme weather. Very high and very low temperatures do not affect it.
Envire can be immersed in water indefinitely making it perfect for sensitive marine signage.
It is UV resistant and will not degrade under fierce sunlight. Envire is immune to all pests including white ant attack and unlike wood, Envire products will never rot.
In addition to signage, the Envire range includes bollards of all shapes and sizes, outdoor tables, benches, seating, signage, posts, poles, totems, decking, fencing, boardwalks, planks, sleepers, garden edging, and continuous lengths. It comes in three standard colours but others are available on request.
Envire’s patented material is the ideal replacement for wooden signage in agriculture, horticulture, aquaculture and landscaping as well as a variety of industrial and everyday uses. Most importantly of all, Envire is an extremely cost effective option in all these applications.
