Water is a valued commodity in Australia given the major role agriculture plays in our economy.  As global and domestic demand for food and other agricultural products increases, there is pressure for growers and irrigation professionals to understand and manage their irrigation storage and distribution systems with greater precision. They not only have to look at potential irrigation developments but also turn to technology to better manage crop production using existing irrigation systems.

The 2016 Irrigation Australia International Conference and Exhibition provides you with the latest products, techniques, services and knowledge that are required to support these crucial decisions.  Whether you are involved with irrigation for agriculture, horticulture, viticulture, landscaping, parks, golf course or other associated areas, no other event covers the entire irrigation value chain.

A growing list of speakers has already been announced. The most recent speaker to join the conference is John Elliott, Australian Businessman, Former President of the Liberal Party and Former President of Carlton Football Club. John will be presenting in the opening session on Day 1 of the conference.

John commented, “Water management and agribusiness are Australia's future growth sectors and I have a strong interest and wide experience in both of these key issues.” John has a well documented interest in politics, having been a member of the Liberal Party for over 30 years and becoming Federal President of the Party late in 1987. More recently, John became involved in Commodity Trading – iron, ore, coal and agricultural products and now provides corporate advisory services.

Opening Day 2 of the conference is Phillip Glyde, Chief Executive Officer, Murray-Darling Basin Authority. Recently appointed to the role of Chief Executive, Phillip was previously the Deputy Secretary for the Department of Agriculture and Water Resources. As Deputy Secretary, Phillip was responsible for agriculture, fisheries and forestry. Phillip has previously had responsibility for international trade and market access, export certification services and the department's research division, the Australian Bureau of Agriculture and Resource Economics.

In addition to our key speakers, visit the ‘Out of the box’ solutions on the show floor. The largest display of irrigation products and technology in Australasia, brings you ‘Out of the Box’ solutions. The recently launch advanced 3NV nozzle system by Nelson Australia, will be showcased on the show floor. Built with the precision accuracy of the 3TN, this innovative dial-nozzle combines multiple functions so you can ‘micro-manage’ your system. The 3030 with the 3NV nozzle system turns a great sprinkler into a highly effective farm management device. Simply push and turn this multi-use nozzle for on, off, nozzle flush and line flush functions. The 3NV nozzle fits all existing sprinkler types: rotator, spinner, accelerator, sprayhead, orbitor, part circle.

Register today to take advantage of early bird rates. Early bird rates end 1 April 2016.

Registration to the trade exhibition is free. For more information and to register visit www.irrigationaustralia.com.au
