26 Jun 2013
The 2014 Nursery and Garden Industry Awards will include an exiting new category - The Greenlife Infrastructure Award - which will be sponsored by Universal Magazines.
Planning and coordination has begun for the 2014 Nursery and Garden Industry Awards, with this year featuring a revised program. Robert Prince, CEO of the Nursery & Garden Industry Australia said “After a twelve month absence and intensive review of the awards program we have made positive changes to modernise the process and be inclusive of all sectors within our industry. We have worked to ensure criteria are relevant and address the industry’s strategic plan and awareness objectives”.
This has included the announcement of the exiting new category “The Greenlife Infrastructure Award” which will be sponsored by Universal Magazines.
This award is open to all Urban Planners, Local Councils, Architects, Developers or similar operations and recognises their contribution to promoting a thriving, sustainable and diverse Australian urban forest.
Judges will consider the unique attributes for which each project is intended and in particular, how it contributes to a healthy ecosystem that is valued and cared for by all Australians. Judges will also assess how the greenlife specified in the project has evolved into an environmental, economic, and community asset.
Entries for the 2014 Nursery & Garden Industry Awards open on Monday 24 June 2013 and will culminate with national winners being announced at the famous National Gala Dinner which concludes the National Conference in Sydney on Thursday 13 March 2014.
