Flinders Christian community college is passionate about recycling, so it was no surprise they chose Trex low maintenance decking to complete two new projects at the school.
The kinder area of the Carrum Downs campus in Victoria now features a delightful new shaded sand pit while at the senior school centre an expansive deck offers a flexible outdoor area for students to enjoy.
Previous timber decking required regular repairs and the school wanted to find a low maintenance solution that was durable and easy to clean. Kell Jackson, Maintenance Supervisor, said “We do not have the ongoing maintenance with oiling a timber deck. Trex is easier to clean and does not grey off like timber if left unmaintained. Our plan is to slowly replace all our timber decking with Trex and for any future decking project, Trex will be our product of choice”.
