THE WAYSIDE CHAPEL

The Wayside Chapel at Bondi Beach features a beautiful kitchen garden next to the café that provides meals for members of the Wayside community. A pair of Glowpear Urban Gardens were installed to cultivate organic produce to be used at the café.

Thanks to the planters, the garden now has a strong focus on Indigenous plants including native saltbush and lemon myrtle, lending itself to focusing on primary Australian ingredients.

In addition to providing fresh produce for the café, the garden creates a sense of community by demonstrating how people can utilise the planters within the urban landscape, practice sustainability, engage with locals and create a beautiful organic space in the midst of the bustling city.
