SPRINGFIELD CENTRAL SPORTS COMPLEX

Greater Springfield residents and some much-loved sporting stars enjoyed the celebrations for the grand opening of the Springfield Central Sporting Complex on Sunday 13 October. There were fields full of fun sporting activities to keep everyone amused as they celebrated the opening of the $56.2 million complex. Designed by global infrastructure, environmental and social development company Cardno. The 22.5-hectare precinct on Sport Star Drive has sixteen netball courts, eight tennis courts, four multipurpose sporting fields, three club houses with canteen amenity, two playgrounds and car parking.

Eureka Landscapes was contracted to complete the following elements: - major earthworks - premium sports field construction (including dugout and lighting installation) of 2 full size AFL fields, 8 tennis courts, 4 bay cricket practice nets, basketball half court and playground area - soft landscaping and hard landscaping works - car park and water storage installation.
