SCHOOL OF ARTS EXTERNAL WORKS

by Growth Civil Landscapes Pty Ltd

Completed on behalf of the Liverpool City Council, the external reconstruction of the School of Arts was a challenging and technically multifaceted development. The aim was to create an all-access, modern space while still honouring the heritage of the Memorial School of Arts.

The principal component of the works included the hard and soft landscaping of the plaza surrounding the historic School of Arts building, together with adjacent paving, landscaping and streetscapes.

The work comprised of:

  • Demolition, excavation and earthworks
  • Installation of granite pavers
  • Reconstruction of Bluestone kerb and gutter, pram ramps and vehicle crossings
  • Construction of raised garden beds, stairs, topping slabs, irrigation, furniture, electrical, lighting and softscapes

Materials onsite were recycled and reused where viable.
