OVERFLOW CHANNEL AT GOWRIE JUNCTION

Australian Concrete Mats were tasked with stabilising the sides and beds of a water channel in Gowrie Junction, QLD, to reduce erosion caused by water running down unprotected slopes. Using an excavator to dig and shape the new drainage channel, the site was levelled and excess soil was removed. The concrete mats where laid longitudinally up the drain where the edges were trenched into the soil and the joins were pinned down using U-Bar anchors. They were then topped with soil to promote vegetation growth. Easy to maintain and mow, the mats create a safe and hard surface – exactly what the client wanted!
