The Dianella Street ELC upgrade aimed to provide children with an engaging learning environment for their physical and social development where they could embrace their imaginations in a magical space.
This upgrade provides hours of entertainment, with the inclusion of a musical wall, sound pieces, mud kitchen, tree trunk with fairy door, art wall, hand water pump, raised vegetable gardens, play mound slide, sandpit, timber seating and mushroom seats and table. Additional activity items such as binoculars, steering wheel, rock holds and more were also installed.
The upgrade further involved the construction of a temporary playspace, major demolition of existing infrastructure and earthworks. The hard landscaping works included concrete installations, retaining walls, stairs, coloured concrete surfacing, fencing, soft landscaping, and the creation of a dry creek bed to correct drainage issues.
Sutherlands Shire Council commended Glenn Simpson Landscapes on the tremendous effort of early completion of this project by Christmas 2016 in preparation for the New Year.
