Australian Concrete Mats replaced an eroded and failing Rip Rap drain in Beechmont, QLD, with Flexible Concrete Erosion Mats.
Due to recent flooding, the stormwater channel was damaged and the Rip Rap (stones) had been displaced from high water velocity. A more permanent drain was required that could be maintained with mowing and vegetation growth promoted to help with stability.
Taking only seven hours to finish, as soon as the mats were laid in place they started working straight away with localised storms prior to completion. The Flexible Concrete Erosion Mats provided a very efficient solution to minimise traffic congestion while under construction and reduced traffic disruption due to quick installation.
