SUSTAINABLE HOUSE DAY
03 Sep 2012
Want to see what really goes on in a Green Home? Now is your chance! Sustainable House Day is on Sunday 9 September 2012 from 10am to 4pm.
Sustainable House Day is here again and we are opening the doors of our green home to the public. Our home is situated at 5 Strickland Street, Rose Bay, New South Wales on Sunday 9 September 2012 from 10am to 4pm. This event is free.
Throughout the day there will be green home workshops conducted by Cameron Little from Sustainability Systems and Services. These workshops include:
11am: Greywater – drought proof your garden.
1.30pm: Organic gardening & composting.
2.30pm: The beauty of green walls.
There will be a team of green home and product specialists at the home to answer your questions and help put your renovation or new build on a greener path.
Cameron Rosen who lives in this beautiful home with his partner and three children says “We encourage everyone to come down and wonder through our home and be inspired by true sustainability. Our home has a beating heart and soul that is flowing with healthy green blood.”
Australian Living has organised this event as part of their commitment to educating the public and creating a stronger awareness of the many benefits associated with green homes that are healthy, energy efficient and tread lightly on the environment.
