Morayfield East State School recently contracted Play Poles to design a new playground and features for a tired, old play space that needed a makeover. The new playground area had to incorporate play features and activities that would suit the age group and encourage the children to test and enhance their abilities.
The new design incorporated raised decks, climbing wall and rope, slide, pommel crossing, fireman’s pole and activity panels. A new net feature was added with a wiggle walk, the Horizontal Tri–net Tight Rope Net. The playground then had new CSBR rubber softfall added for fall protection.
The sand pit was relocated and a new octagonal seat installed around the tree to provide a shaded seating area. A new shade sail was installed to replace the old sail. A new retaining wall was installed to protect the playground and softfall from rain water.
Sue Taylor, BSM Morayfield East State School, commented, “The children love the new play area and it is used every day. It has rejuvenated the area and the teachers love the new activities. Play Poles have done a wonderful job and we recommend them.”
