A warm welcome goes out to our new Outdoor Design Source Editor, Lisa Brookman, who started work with Universal Magazines this week.
Lisa replaces current Editor Natalie Raad, who goes on maternity leave early September.
Lisa Brookman has been a journalist for 10 years. She began her career in London on Chat magazine and moved on to write for a number of British magazines and newspapers. A keen traveller, Lisa’s wanderlust brought her to Australia in 2005 to write and edit for Take 5 and That’s Life! magazines. After three wonderful years Lisa moved back to the UK to start a family. She recently immigrated back to Australia with her husband and one-year-old daughter to begin a new life in Sydney.
“I’m thrilled by my appointment as the new editor of Outdoor Design Source. I feel incredibly privileged to temporarily take over the reins of such a professional, highly respected and cutting edge directory. Natalie’s a hard act to follow but I relish the challenge of being in the hot seat while she gets on with the important business of having a baby.”
“I promise to keep you updated with all that’s hot and new in the industry while compiling the upcoming 2011 edition of Outdoor Design Source with the fantastic ODS team. I’d like to wish Natalie all the best for the future and thank her for her hard work which I’ll try my hardest to continue. I look forward to writing to you all soon.”
