NATIONAL INTERIOR PLANTSCAPE ASSOCIATION

22 Dec 2011

Plants provide vital benefits for society in a range of different applications. Outdoor plants have been used since time out of mind for food, shade, shelter and beauty. However, indoor plants are just as important and new research shows that interior plantscapes can enhance worker productivity, provide vital health benefits and more. The National Interior Plantscape Association is Australia’s leading professional standards body dedicated to promoting the use of plants indoors.

The National Interior Plantscape Association is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the use of and appreciation for indoor plants within homes and businesses throughout the nation. The NIPA has several key goals and objectives, including promoting the hiring of indoor plant professionals and horticulturalists, providing businesses, homeowners, government agencies and educational facilities information on the many benefits of using natural indoor plants and more. The organization encourages professional skill and knowledge development amongst its members, develops industry standards and ensures that all members adhere to their prescribed code of ethics.

The National Interior Plantscape Association is responsible for encouraging and supporting educational outreach programs, as well as workshops, seminars, conferences and tradeshows for industry professionals. The educational opportunities provided by the association via technical colleges and other educational institutions not only ensure that all members have the knowledge and skill required, but that new members are provided with education and the opportunity to join.

Members of the National Interior Plantscape Association enjoy several key benefits. They are able to use the association’s logo to provide greater credibility for their business, and they are also able to take advantage of discounted advertising programs, unique marketing opportunities and attend educational/informational programs at a discount price. Networking opportunities also abound for members, ensuring that they are able to form alliances and relationships with other professionals and grow their business successfully.
