A tour de force of landscape industry associations have come together to share industry knowledge and experience in an effort to identify issues within the landscaping industry and proffer viable solutions for change.
The LNA along with representatives of AILA, AILDM, HMA, IAL, AIH, Sports Turf, Turf Growers, IACA, HTS and NGINA were recently hosted by The Nursery and Garden Industry NSW & ACT to establish a combined group to bring together immense industry knowledge and expertise to become an effective lobbyer for change within the landscaping industry. The goal of this meeting was to firstly identify key issues and problems concerning the landscaping industry.
A major concern raised at this first meeting was education and the ability to attract people to the landscaping profession. Another issue raised was the fact that many people within the industry were not aware of the great work of the 202020 campaign.
The next meeting in August will focus on the identified issues and develop key strategies to implement moving forward. The LNA are proud to be a part of the Green industry group and look forward to bringing you further updates and key strategies we can all help to implement to make the Green industry group an effective advocate for positive changes in the industry.
It is hoped these ongoing collaborations with major industry associations will yield viable solutions that will be instrumental in moving the landscaping industry forward.
