Garden + Landscaping Middle East runs from May 17 – 19 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The 2009 exhibition is a must-attend event for all specialist retailers, distributors, interior designers, specifiers, architects, contractors and consultants involved in the garden and landscaping industry.
Currently in its sixth year, Garden + Landscaping Middle East is an ideal business platform for introducing new products as well as the latest trends and services available to this market. The show has had long-standing support from the Road and Transport Authority of Dubai and the Dubai Municipality.
Although the current global economic downturn has affected the region’s construction, according to Dubai-based market research firm Proleads, there is still close to $700bn worth of projects on the table.
Dr. Rashid Ahmad Bin Fahad, the UAE Minister of Environment and Water, will be the Patron of Garden + Landscaping Middle East. He will inaugurate the exhibition and address visitors and exhibitors with his opening speech.
“By accepting to be a Patron of this exhibition, I wish to encourage co-operation between the government and the private sector in helping to conserve the environment,” said Dr. Rashid Ahmad Bin Fahad.
“The Garden + Landscaping Middle East exhibition boosts the government’s efforts in protecting the environment. This exhibition, along with several other large-scale developments that are progressing, marks the UAE’s leadership in advancing its beautification drive. In the presence of an economic downturn, it becomes even more necessary to build a clean and beautiful environment for all residents of the UAE,” he added.
Garden + Landscaping Middle East has grown at a rate of 20 per cent annually. This year, the show is expecting 136 international and local exhibitors from 26 countries and attendance of more than 4000 people from the Middle East, Europe, Asia and the US.
