GARDEN DESIGNFEST
12 Nov 2014
Don’t miss a memorable weekend in Melbourne with 28 spectacular gardens on show, including 8 large-scale gardens open to the public.
Now in its 6th year, Garden DesignFest is expected to be bigger and better than ever. Held over the weekend of November 15 and 16, twenty eight spectacular gardens will be on show featuring the work of some of Melbourne's most acclaimed garden designers.
As an added feature this year there will be 8 large-scale gardens open to the public – 4 on the Mornington Peninsula open both Saturday and Sunday plus another 4, in the Euroa area which will be open on the Sunday only.
Once again designers and their staff will be on hand at their respective gardens to chat to the public and to discuss their design needs and obtain all the relevant information needed to create or improve their own gardens.
A number of Landscaping Victoria members will be on hand showcasing their work including Andrew Whyte, Don Thomson, Inge Jabara, Richard Bellemo, Robert Boyle, Ros McCully and Steve Taylor.
The Patron of this festival is well-known media identity John Patrick, who has confirmed that 100 per cent of the net proceeds will go to charities selected by Rotary.
As the proud organisers of this event the Rotary Club of Kew in conjunction with the Rotary Clubs of Brighton North and Central Melbourne Sunrise aims to firstly, raise much needed funds for its selected charities; and secondly, to encourage creative, bold, innovative, versatile, practical and responsible gardening in our Australian gardens.
Don’t miss this memorable weekend.
